ไวน์ลองกาน

Origin

Longan wine originated from the desire to transform the local fruit—longan—into a distinctive beverage, particularly in southern and northeastern Thailand, where seasonal fruit fermentation has long been practiced. With its naturally sweet and smooth flavor, longan became a popular ingredient for crafting wine that exudes warmth and carries the pure essence of nature.

Characteristics and Taste

It ranges in color from light amber to deep brown, clear and bright. It offers a fragrant, sweet aroma blending longan’s natural scent with subtle notes of fermented liquor. The taste is balanced and pleasantly sweet, with depth developed through fermentation. Not overly sharp or harsh, it leaves a smooth, soothing sensation on the palate.

Main Ingredients

Fresh longan, sugar, and yeast for fermentation.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled, or dilute slightly with water to mellow the flavor. Pairs wonderfully with crunchy snacks such as roasted nuts or whole wheat bread, greatly enhancing the overall enjoyment.
